Fred Oesch
Fred Oesch, principal of Oesch Environmental Design is engaged in contributing Land Planning and Architectural Design for the Shenandoah Wellness Park Master Plan. He shares the collective vision and endeavor to help nurture the Town of Elkton community, by manifesting a new state-of-the-art environmentally responsible model for the region and world at large.
As the founder of a Design / Build firm, Oesch has designed Master Planning, Architecture, Interiors, Furniture, and Fine Art for more than 35 years. His specialty is healthful, energy efficient, alternative building, inc., solar design, timber frame, straw bale construction, earth sheltered structures, living earth roofs, and natural environmental control systems. Oesch is available for residential or commercial design projects world wide, inc., lecture presentations, and teaching Design and Building.
Oesch has technical experience, teaching, and management of human and material resources; encompassing the full range of design disciplines. Conducting research on Environmental Design and lecturing at universities in the U.S. and Europe, he has practiced Environmental Design, Construction Technology, Product Design, and Fine Art. He has also developed internationally marketed furniture and architectural software. Oesch's projects have been featured on Home and Garden Television [HGTV], and in numerous newspaper and magazine publications. Oesch received the Virginia Sustainable Building Network [VSBN] 2007 Green Innovation Award in the Best Single Family Residential Project category, and the 2009 Green Innovation Award for Best Green Designer. Oesch is currently completing a new book titled, "Symbiotic Living: Elements of Timeless Design & Building Solutions".
